We will provide 75 grams of bronze as well as a variety of casting materials. We have more bronze available for purchase if interested.
Garage casting is a variety of simple methods taking full advangtage of gravity casting. In this workshop you will learn simple casting techniques using combustable materials, generally of an organic nature, used as bases for obtaining interesting and unique textures. Some methods we will explore are; water casting, broom casting, salt casting, very basic sand casting, casting on pine needles as well as carbon. We will be using several types of bronze as our metal.
This workshop takes place over the course of two days, allowing you to find your own materials to cast with for personal exploration on Sunday.
